April is National Stress Awareness Month

As April is National Stress Awareness Month, we want to use this time to remind ourselves and others of the importance of managing stress as an essential part of a living a healthy lifestyle.
As stress can have a negative impact on all aspects of life - from our productivity and response to challenges, to our sleep, to our physical and mental health - knowing how to manage stress and practicing stress management strategies can improve our overall mental and physical well-being.
The CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) provides tips on how to recognize if we are experiencing stress as well as stress management techniques that we can incorporate into our day-to-day lives. In addition, Mental Health America (MHA) offers a Stress Screener. Click on the links to check your level of stress as well as how you can incorporate stress management practices to minimize the exacerbation of health-related issues and improve your overall health and well-being!
